Description
This homemade peach ice cream is the perfect summer treat, bursting with fresh peach flavor and creamy goodness. It’s easy to make and the perfect dessert for a hot day or any special occasion.
Ingredients
• 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 pint half-and-half cream
• 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
• 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups whole milk (or as needed)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Peaches:
• In a bowl, combine the chopped peaches and sugar. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to release their juices.
2. Mix the Base:
• In a large bowl, mix together the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract.
• Stir in the peach and sugar mixture and combine until everything is well mixed.
3. Pour into Ice Cream Maker:
• Pour the mixture into the container of a gallon ice cream maker. Add whole milk to reach the fill line, usually about 2 cups.
• If you want faster hardening, chill the container before adding the mixture.
4. Freeze the Mixture:
• Follow the instructions on your ice cream maker to freeze the mixture. This should take about 20-30 minutes.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
Once your ice cream is frozen and has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to a container and place it in the freezer for 1-2 hours to firm up further, if needed.
