This vibrant mango matcha latte combines earthy matcha green tea with sweet tropical mango for a refreshing, nutrient-packed beverage that’s perfect for warm days or morning pick-me-ups.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mango chunks (about 1 small mango)
  • 12 teaspoons ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • ¼ cup hot water (175°F/80°C)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 12 teaspoons liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mango, then place chunks in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Set aside.
  2. Sift matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps. Add hot water and whisk vigorously for 30-45 seconds until frothy with no visible powder clumps.
  3. Stir your chosen sweetener into the matcha mixture until dissolved.
  4. In a tall glass, add the mango puree first, filling approximately ¼ of the glass.
  5. Carefully add ice cubes on top of the mango layer.
  6. If using protein powder, mix it with your milk until completely dissolved.
  7. Pour the milk over the ice until the glass is about ¾ full.
  8. Finally, gently pour the prepared matcha mixture over the back of a spoon to create a beautiful layered effect.
  9. Serve with a straw and stir before drinking to combine all flavors.
