Caramel Frappuccino

Caramel Frappuccino Recipe (Starbucks Copycat)

  • Author: Madilyn

Description

This indulgent Caramel Frappuccino rivals your favorite coffeehouse version – rich, creamy, and perfectly sweetened with that signature caramel swirl.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 heaping cup crushed ice (or cubed)
  • 1½ cups premium vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white chocolate powder
  • Double shot espresso (2 fl oz)
  • Caramel sauce (Torani recommended)
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Place your crushed ice and vanilla ice cream into a blender. (While cubed ice works, crushed ice will blend more quickly and maintain the optimal temperature.)
  2. In a separate mug, combine the granulated sugar and white chocolate powder.
  3. Pour your double shot of espresso (approximately 2 fl oz) directly over the sugar mixture and stir until completely dissolved. If you don’t have an espresso machine, combine 2 teaspoons of espresso powder with 2 oz of hot water as an excellent alternative.
  4. Add the sweetened espresso mixture to your blender with the ice and ice cream. Secure the lid firmly and blend at high speed for 20-30 seconds until completely smooth.
  5. Prepare your serving glass by drizzling caramel sauce in a decorative pattern along the inside walls.
  6. Pour the blended frappuccino into your prepared glass, top with a generous swirl of whipped cream, and finish with an additional drizzle of caramel sauce.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy your coffee shop creation at home!

Notes

  • Espresso alternative: If you don’t have an espresso machine, dissolve 2 teaspoons of espresso powder in 2 oz of hot water for similar results.
  • Ice tip: Crushed ice creates the perfect texture faster than cubed ice, preventing the mixture from warming up during extended blending.
  • Caramel enhancement: For the ultimate experience, be generous with the caramel sauce both inside the glass and as a finishing touch on top.
  • Whipped cream substitute: If you don’t have canned whipped cream, make your own by whipping 1/2 cup heavy cream with 1 tablespoon powdered sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla until soft peaks form.
  • Serving suggestion: For an extra-special presentation, dust the whipped cream with a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder.
